In fact, if you organise your laundry properly, you can easily halve the amount of luggage you need to take.
1. Pack only 3 to 4 days’ worth of clothes
You don’t need to bring seven changes of clothes for a week’s stay. We recommend packing as follows:
- 3 to 4 sets of everyday clothes, chosen from fabrics that are easy to mix and match and quick-drying
- 1 set of smarter attire, for dinner or meetings
- Leave some space in your luggage for souvenirs and shopping
On the third or fourth day, hand in your worn clothes for washing, and you’ll have clean clothes to change into the following day.
II. What problems do you commonly encounter when using the hotel laundry service?
Many visitors encounter the following situations when doing their laundry in Macau for the first time:
- Hotel laundry is charged per item: A few items are fine, but when you add up a whole family’s clothes for a week, the cost can really mount up.
- Self-service laundrettes are hard to come by: The locations are scattered, and you have to wait for your laundry to be washed and dried yourself, which takes up valuable time on your holiday

V. Tips for Handing Over Clothes
- A note on special items of clothing: Please let us know when you make your booking if you have any woollen, silk or dark-coloured garments that are prone to fading.
- Indicate the location of the stain: If there are coffee stains, oil stains, etc., please take a photo or specify the location, and we will take special care to deal with them.
- Allow time for return delivery: If you are due to check out soon, please book in advance to ensure you receive your clothes before check-out.
- Check immediately upon receipt: If you have any questions, please let us know via WhatsApp and we will look into it
